It's Ippity release day!

It's all about the L.O.V.E. for this hop! We have all used elements to make up the word L.O.V.E. Below is my card and my elements.

L = Layers

O = One brand (everything except the cardstock is Prima)

V = Valentine (wouldn't this make a beautiful Valentine for you best friend?)

E = Even (I used a even number of layers and gems) 6

Chick Challenges with Ippity

Hello everyone!

This week, it is my turn over at the Chick Challenges with Ippity blog as the "Hot Chick". If you are not familiar with the blog, let me give you a little information about it. This is a weekly challenge blog where every week a different chick is the "Hot Chick". The "Hot Chick" of the week creates a project based on a sketch. So I must apologize. In my last blog post, I made an announcement regarding all of the new {ippity} changes and the Unity Stamp Company website. Unfortunately, there were a few snags along the way and the changes have not taken effect yet.

I think I jumped the gun a little in posting this news and should have waited until everything was finalized. I apologize for any inconvenience but assure you that everything is being done to get the site updated and ready for all your {ippity}/Unity orders.

I cannot believe that December is more than half over and Christmas is upon us. I am not quite ready but hope to be closer by midweek. The weekend flew by but it was an extremely productive one for me. We spent most of Saturday at soccer games and watching college football (no, that is not the productive part of my weekend). Sunday was spent cleaning closets and the storage shed. It is amazing how much stuff we keep with the intentions of using it again and never do. But we got rid of a ton of stuff and it felt good to clean it out.

New releases coming!

So tomorrow is the big day for September new releases. Today I am going to share a card I made using one of the sets called "Gingham Christmas Greetings". I used CPS card sketch #234 that can be found here. This card is also for the Ippity 1-2-3 Challenge that can be found here. The challenge calls for 1 stamped image, 2 colors of cardstock, and 3 patterned papers. For my stamped image I used the Happy Holidays stamp from the new set. I used cardstock in kraft and olive and the three patterned papers are from the Lost & Found Christmas 6x6 paper pad by My Mind's Eye.

Hello and Happy Friday everyone! After a terribly busy week a work I am looking forward to this month's class being help Saturday, July 16th @ 1:00 p.m. at my house. The cost is $10.00 and we will be making a project and 2 cards! For the project I used the new Ippity set "thankful for you". Here is the kit and below that will be the frame that will be the project for the class on Saturday.

The photo doesn't show the glimmer that I sprayed onto the project for an overall shine. I used the new line of papers Authentique purchased at Pages from the Heart. If you havent seen this line of paper you must check it out. I can't seem to put it down. I've been using it on everything and will be using it for all the item in my class this Saturday. Day 2 of New Ippity Releases!

Hello everyone! So this is day 2 of the July releases. Today I am sharing with you the 2nd set for this month called "thankful for you". I love this set especially for the butterfly. It is so pretty stamped and embossed. I am sharing a card with you today using the same Authentique papers from yesterday (just can't get enought of this gorgeous paper). Here it is:

I stamped and embossed the butterfly image with Kaleidoscope embossing powder. I love the blue tint to the shimmer. This is the entire set that is now available for purchase on the sales page of my blog.

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! Today I want to share a card I made for the Unity Stamp Co. sketch challenge and the KOTM Sketch Challenge. I used some scrap from my stash as the background paper and I used the KOTM for June 2010. I used distress ink and a pain brush dampened with a little water to "paint" over the different parts of my stamped image.

Friends with Flair Friday!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year's Eve and Happy Friends with Flair Friday! I must apologize that my post is so late but there were some major technical difficulties. What an amazing year this has been for Unity Stamp Co and for myself as an Ippity Chick. I have had so much fun since joining and met so many great ladies in ths process. This was a fairly easy card but I really like the way it turned out.

So how do you like Santa in a hot air ballon. I love the Webster's paper 8x8 pad. I cut him out of one of those sheets and the oval is a new Ippity set along with the swirl behind the balloon. Let me know if you must have one I have some in stock.

This is a simple Christmas card that is part of a set of 5 that I will be selling to a friend.

It's Release Day!

Hello, today is finally release day. This is my first release and it was hard keeping them to myself waiting for today but I am super excited to share some cards I made using these beautiful new stamps. There's lots to see today so I'll make this short and sweet. I made both of these cards with the new stamp set "Sing a New Song". I love this set and isn't that bird adorable?

A quick card.......

I was in desperate need of some crafty therapy so I made this card. I will not have much crafty time starting tomorrow due to finals being this week. However, I will begin my last 2 classes on Monday which puts me that much closer to graduation! Wow...what a journey it has been. I don't know how Isaac and Sal have put up with me for these past 16 months but I love them more for it. It has not been easy and putting up with me has been even harder I'm sure. They deserve all the credit for helping me reach this tremendous goal for me. Sooooo.....here's my card:

I am really happy with the way it turned out. The blue background paper is from my stash. The clouds are a stamp from the October Unity Kit of the Month (isn't it great?!) as is the sentiment at the bottom. The sun is from the {ippity} stamp set "Quotes a 'la Happy". The ribbon and sun were colored with Sunflower Glimmermist. This card reminded me of the fact that there are no bad days, each day is what we choose to make of it. I hope this puts a little sunshine in your day!

H{ippity} Hop....it's November already!?!

Happy Monday everyone and happy h{ippity} hop! My mind is still unable to grasp the fact that it is November already. This is my favorite time of year with the holidays on the way and so many festivities and functions taking place. Today I want to share a little Christmas decor that I made using a $1.00 wooden house from Joann's and leftovers stuff from my stash. I did not use anything new or did not buy anything used on this little house. This is also my first time trying anything like this and I am pleasantly surprised with how it came out. I hope you enjoy it as well.

The house started out as bare wood that I painted white. The bird is a mirror from Heidi Swapp that has been in my stash forever. The poinsettia and leaves are from Prima and are from last year. The snowflake rub-ons are Basic Grey from the Wassail collection.

This is the side using the Unity music Stamp on the roof along with Webster paper covering the roof and side. There are more Basic Grey rub-ons for the flowers.

Unity Friends With Flair Blog Hop

Happy Friday everyone! What a great way to start off the weekend by being a part of my first Friends with Flair Blog Hop. This one is for the paper piecing challenge. I had a lot of fun doing this one. I was worried I wouldn't think of a way to use this stamp but I think I pulled it off.

I will be using this one for the distressed challenge. I distressed the edges of the card with ink.

{ippity} Hippity Hop

Welcome to everyone on this Monday morning. This is my first time participating in the Hippity Hop (so exciting). Hopefully this will be the first of many. So after a whirlwind weekend including World Card Making Day on Saturday, October 2nd, I have had a lot of fun making cards for the challenge to win one free year of KOTM by Unity. If you haven't heard about it head on over to Unity Stamp Company for all the details. So here are a few creations from this weekend. This card was a lot of fun and I changed it up a little. I used paper from Cosmo Cricket and Unity stamp set "Garden Variety". I stamped the flower pot and colored with Copics.

This is a set of cards I made using {ippity} stamp set "That's Creepy". How cute is that little spider. I used different colored gems for their eyes. I challenged myself to use only one kind of cardstock and no patterned paper.

Here are a few random Halloween cards I made from items in my stash.

and last but not least.....

I went out of my comfort zone with this card but I must say I really like the way it turned out.

Feels like Fall....

The much cooler weather today was perfect for setting the scene for fall. This is my favorite time of year and the beginning of preparation for the holidays. This week and next I will be having a contest where one lucky winner could win a set of {Ippity} Stamps. This is the set that will be going to a lucky winner:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I had a very eventful weekend with Isaac's first soccer game on Saturday along with a birthday party for his cousin and the first "Ippity" stamp card class yesterday. Yesterday was Grandparent's Day so I made this card for Isaac's grandparents. It is made using the "Fall for You" Ippity stamp set.

Upcoming class.....

So....I will be having my first Ippity Card Class this Sunday, September 12, at 11:00 a.m. at my house. The price of the class is $6.00 and we will making the 3 cards pictured in my last post. September already!

I cannot believe that tomorrow will already be the first day of September. Isaac will start kindergarten one week from today which is extremely bittersweet as I see my baby start school. I can't believe he has grown so fast. It is also the beginning of my favorite time of year.....fall. I love the colors, holidays, and events that come along with this time of year. So.....to kick it off this month I will be featuring a set of Ippity stamps called "Fall for You". They are extremely cute and fallish. I have just placed an order for some of these stamps so let me know if you want a set. Here is a look at this set:

I am very excited to post this....my first blog post. I am hoping this turns out to be a fun and creative place for everyone to enjoy my projects and maybe even learn a few new tricks. I will be using this blog to share my projects and hopefully make a few new scrappy friends. Please feel free to share any ideas you have for what you will like to see on this blog. I will also be posting new projects from my new venture with Unity Stamps. I will be receiving catalogs to share with everyone and hope that you will join me in enjoying crafting with them. They are wonderful stamps and I can't wait to get my first shipment in. So, here is the first project I am sharing. This is a card I made for a friend for her birthday.

Crafty Secrets birthday card

This is a 5x7 inch card. I stamped the bird and branches and colored with colored pencils. I stamped the birdhouse on patterned paper and cut out. The inchie squares are stamped using Inkadinkado stamps and punched out. The flower is Prima from my stash along with the pin. A full list of supplies is listed below.
